🐺 Valkyrie Northern Inuits and Wolfalikes

The term “wolfalike” is used to describe domestic dogs selectively bred to resemble wolves in appearance, while retaining the temperament and behaviour of a companion dog.

These dogs are admired for their striking, wolf-like looks, yet they are very much dogs — bred for life alongside people rather than the wild.

The Northern Inuit Dog is one of the best-known wolfalike-type dogs, originally developed in the UK during the 1980s. Although not currently recognised by major kennel clubs, the breed continues to develop and has played an important role in the creation of other wolf-look-alike breeds, including the Tamaskan and Utonagan.
