Is Big Doggy Day Out a yearly event?

Yes, we plan for Big Doggy Day Out to be a highlight in the Banchory calendar each year, bringing joy to dogs and their owners.

What important things should I know before coming to the event?

To ensure a fantastic day for everyone, please be aware that there will be lots of noise, people, children, and dogs. Consider if this is the right environment for your dog. If your dog becomes stressed, please take them to a quiet area or be prepared to leave early.

Are there any specific rules for dogs at the event?

Yes, for the safety and enjoyment of all, dogs must stay on a lead at all times, unless actively participating within designated sports demo rings. Please be mindful that not every dog wants others in their personal space, the "my dog is friendly" isn't an acceptable excuse / response here.

What if my dog gets stressed during the event?

Your dog's well-being is paramount. Your dog is your responsibility, but if we observe that your dog is genuinely stressed, we may politely suggest it's had enough for the day. We encourage you to monitor your dog and provide breaks in quiet areas or even head home if needed. You can always take yummy treats, toys, or gifts back with you!

What happens if I break the event rules?

We have rules in place to ensure a fun, safe, and positive atmosphere for everyone. If rules are broken, you may be asked to leave the event. We want everyone to enjoy themselves, so please cooperate with our guidelines.
